It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margarita Melanson of Shediac, New Brunswick, who passed away on September 23, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Bourgeois and Délima LeBlanc; her former husband Laurie Melanson; her husband Hervé Gautreau; her son Raymond; and her sisters, Thérèse Melanson, Camilla Gauvin and Edmée Bourgeois.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Gallant (late John) of Leominster, Mass., Rose-Marie Doiron (Émile) of Leominster, Mass. and Donald (Manon Bélanger); and her grandchildren, Mathieu of Québec, Peter (Wendy) of Massachusetts, Victor (Dawna) of Massachusetts, Ricky (Debbie) of Massachusetts, John (Kate) of Massachusetts, Lori (Jeff) of Massachusetts and Gerry (Shana) of Massachusetts. She is also survived by fifteen great-great-grandchildren, five great-great-great grandchildren and many nieces and, nephews.
