He was predeceased by: his parents, Dosithé Richard and Rita Richard (LeBlanc); and his brothers, Albert, Ovila and Roger.

He is survived by: his former wife Josie Richard; his girlfriend April Chenell; his son Bryan (Bailey Polley) of Shemogue; his stepdaughters, Cathy, Angie, Rachel, Tanya and Debby; his siblings, Donald of Petit-Cap, Reginald of Petit-Cap, Danny of Shemogue, Anna of Moncton, Mona of Moncton, Annette of Petit-Cap and Pauline of Petit-Cap; his stepgrandchildren, Damien, Decklin, Daxton, Erica, Amanda, Justin, Izaac and Damian; and his great great grandchild Jocelyn.
