He was predeceased by: his parents, Melbourne Carter and Florence Carter (Rhoda); his sister Suzanne; his in-laws, Lee and Abigail Holmes; and his brother-in-law Al Mullin.
He is survived by: his wife June (Holmes); his children, Robbie, Ian of Fredericton, Jodi Sobey (Ray) of Miramichi and Lisa Foster (Jay) of Powhatan, Virginia; his grandchildren, Jordan, Jennica, Jeremiah (Marylène), Autumn, Chase, Tyler and Caitlin; his brothers, Paul (Nadine) and Wayne (Michael); and his siblings-in-law, Leanne Mullin and Robert Holmes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and countless dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Extra-Mural Program, the Sunny Corner Fire Department or St. James Presbyterian Church, if desired.
