He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold and Hélène (Clavette); his sister Phyllis; his brothers-in-law, Lloyd Drinkwater of Portland, ME and Dwight Demmings; and his son Gerald Brian.

He is survived by: his former wife Winifred Demmings; his wife Wini; his daughters, Barbara (Jamie Junger) of Nova Scotia, Meg White (Peter) of Williamstown, NB and Joanne (Tom Lewis) of Sussex; his daughter-in-law Cathy DeLong (Brian); his grandchildren, Cody (Hannah), Hunter (Cassidy DeLong), Sadie Junger, Jordan, Alex (Mason White) and Eli (Griffin Lewis); and his great grandchildren, Claire, Theodore and Lily.
