He was predeceased by: his parents, John McDonald and Kathleen McDonald (Donovan); his daughter Shelley Douglass; and his siblings, Murray, Jack, Pauline Astorino and Nowell Valyear.
He is survived by: his wife Judy McDonald (Hart); his daughters, Linda Fraser (Stephen) of Silverwood, NB, Ann Marie McDonald (Charles Foster) of Fredericton, NB and Lisa Lirette (Marc) of Moncton, NB; his son-in-law Trent Douglass; and his siblings, Joseph McDonald (Sharon) of Petawawa, ON and Rose Caterini of Fredericton, NB. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Family Parish (1500 Hanwell Rd, Fredericton, NB E3C1N3).
