She was predeceased by: her husband Carl Peterson; her parents, Kenneth Rideout and Marion Rideout (Hillman); and her siblings-in-law, Shirley Knowles (late Clarence), Thetis Scott (late Dean), Barbara Appleby, Vernon Peterson, Gary Peterson and Lloyd Peterson (late Janette).

She is survived by: her son Kevin Peterson (Stephanie Peterson); her grandson Tristan Peterson; her sister Gwendoly McBride (late David); her siblings-in-law, Naida Beal (late John), Mavis McCarty (late Ranald), Phyllis Peterson (late Vernon), Malcolm (late Sharon) and James Appleby (late Barbara); and her nieces, Wanda Doelman (Andy) and Shelley Havens (late Murray). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
