David leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. David’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew David will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Twila R. McLaughlin; daughters: Beth McLaughlin (John Stevens) and Delores (Nathaniel) Barry; grandchildren: David James McLaughlin, Andrew Scott, Matthew McLaughlin, Dylan McLaughlin and Caitlyn McLaughlin (Drew Neathway); great grandchildren: Isabella, Melody, Cole, Bennett and Violet; brothers: Walter and Homer Jr.; parents: Homer and Florence (Scott) McLaughlin; sister: Ida McLaughlin; brothers: Gordon, Andy, Elton and James; in laws: Marla McGee, Randall (Christine), Jimmy (Brenda), Debra Hanley, Patricia Hanley, Rhoda (Michael) Kernighan, Vicki Mersereau, Crystal Parks (Gary McIntyre), Maynard, Eldon, Clark, Ross, Farren, Edna Hooper and Lorraine Hanley; other: Pastor Ross Cooke and Pastor Paul Legere; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. George Funeral Home (26 Portage St, Saint George, NB E5C3L6). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. George Funeral Home Chapel, St. George (26 Portage St, Saint George, NB E5C3L6). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at the St. George Rural Cemetery.
