Frances Lavina Merrill Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frances Lavina Merrill (St George, New Brunswick), born in Scotch Settlement, New Brunswick, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 29, 2024 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by : her parents, William G. MacDonald and Myrtle C. MacDonald (Parker); her husband Dell Merrill; her former life partner Darrell Hughes; her son Gregory Hughes; her siblings, Herman MacDonald (Marg), Bertha Foster (Eastman) and Betty (Charlie Porter); and her sister-in-law Jean Mead (John Guiggey).
She is survived by : her daughter Faye Guthrie (Ryan McLeod) of Utopia, NB; her grandchildren, Melissa Guthrie (Cleveland Leavitt) of Pennfield, NB and Adam Guthrie (Natasha) of Utopia, NB; her stepgranddaughter Courtney McLeod (William Haslett) of Norton, NB; her great grandchildren, Leavitt, Kaylee, Kaci Guthrie, Makenzie Comeau and Liam Haslett; and her siblings, Lillian Guiggey of Presque Isle, ME, Roy MacDonald of Scotch Settlement, June of Scotch Settlement, Phillip Yerxa of Scotch Settlement and Carolyn Lively (Patrick) of Ingersoll, ON. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In Frances' memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
