She was predeceased by: her parents, Llewellyn Kernighan and Virginia Kernighan (Stanton); her husband Thomas Lauren Mitchell of St. George, NB.; and her sister Flora Kernighan. She is survived by: her daughter Angie Mitchell (Richard Brideau) of St. George, NB; her brother Llewellyn Kernighan of Pennfield, NB; and her pet Ivy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
