He was predeceased by: his parent Dyas Merchant; and his brothers-in-law, Francis Trafton and Robert Bell. He is survived by: his mother Florence Merchant; and his siblings, Debby Trafton (Billy Densmore), Vida Bell, Lucille Merchant, Bernard Merchant (Olga) and Roselle Merchant.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the S. O. Mehan & Son Funeral Home Ltd. (23 Main St, St Stephen, NB E3L1Y9). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Burpee may be made to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
