He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Reid and Martha "Mattie" Groom of Old Ridge, NB.; his siblings, Thurston and Joyce Connolly (Joe); his daughter Lynn (Cameron Cole); and his former wife Beulah Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Gallagher Gilman; his stepson Roger Gilman (Sararat On); his grandson Maximilian Gilman; his children, Brian Reid (Denise Leighton) and Cheryl Reid O'Hagan; his granddaughter Erin O'Hagan (Elliot Postell); his great grandchild Vivien Postell; and his grandson Padraig O'Hagan. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Kirk McColl United Church (70 King St, St Stephen, NB E3L2C3). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM and at 3:00 PM. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 4:30 PM at the Moores Mills Cemetery.
