He was predeceased by : his parents, George P. McKim and Margaret McKim (Harrison); his stepmother Laurie (Lawrence); his wife Gertrude (Atkinson); his daughter Cathy; and his siblings, Bruce, Arthur, John, Harold, Kathleen and Joan.

He is survived by : his children, Laurie Smith (Ron) of Michigan, Dan (Lisa) of Moncton, Dave (Jean) of Fredericton and Tim of New Hampshire; his stepchildren, Wayne Lord (Joan), Barbara Greenlaw (Brian), Gerald Lord and Laura Jean Lord (Larry); and his stepdaughter-in-law Ellie.
