She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Bud" MacMillan and Eleanor MacMillan; and her in-laws, Jack and Mary Fleming. She is survived by: her husband Mark Fleming; her sons, Sean (Melinda), Corey (Jennifer) and Jamie (Dayle); her grandchildren, Claire, Maxwell, Quinn, Luna, Bryson and Matthew; her siblings, James MacMillan, Nancy MacLeod, Neil MacMillan, David MacMillan (Terry) and Gerald MacMillan; and her siblings-in-law, Ronald Fleming, James Fleming (Judy), Douglas Fleming (Peggy), Danny Fleming (Carley), Robert Fleming, Kenneth Fleming (Nancy), Margaret Howlett (Douglas), Colleen Bussey (Dave) and Tony Fleming (Lydia). She is also survived by mother and grandmother, loyal friend, and the heart of her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Susan's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
