He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar DeLong and Mildred DeLong; his grandson James Beattie; and his siblings, Basil DeLong (Madeline), Chester DeLong (Agatha), Charles DeLong, Fern DeLong, Dora Clark, Phyllis Purinton (Ronald) and Ross DeLong.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie DeLong of St Thomas; his daughters, Angela Violette of Fredericton, Lisa Tomah (Leonard) of Woodstock and Lana Beattie (Noel) of Whistler, BC; his grandchildren, Nadia Violette (Tyler Boudreau), Leah Violette, Chelsey Tomah (Justin Edwards), Taylor Tomah, Leonard Tomah III and Spencer Tomah; his great grandchildren, Neaveh Cole, Edwards and Sophia McQuade; and his siblings-in-law, Doris DeLong, Rhonda DeLong and George Clark. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
