He was predeceased by : his parents, Harold Matchett and Helen Matchett (MacDonald); and his brother-in-law Ronnie Bjustrom. He is survived by : his wife Cathy Matchett (MacKay) of Sunny Corner, NB; his children, Tracy Matchett (Daniel Comfort) of Douglastown, NB and Toby Matchett (Cara Hovey) of Newcastle, NB; his siblings, Sharon Hamilton (Doug) of Fredericton, NB, Karen Bjurstrom of Sunny Corner, NB and Blake Matchett (Linda) of Fredericton, NB; his grandchildren, Samantha, Bethany, Isabella Matchett, Darien Porter and Joey Williams; and his great grandchildren, Bentley, Canaan, Ivalee Arbeau, Regan, Christin Williams, Baby Fletcher and Baby Williams. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In Elwin's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the NB Extra Mural Program.
