She was predeceased by: her father Owen Bruce Hay. She is survived by: her mother Margaret Joan Hay (Flynn); her husband Stephen; her children, Stephanie, Kale (Shayna), Frank (Robyn), Jeffrey (Hannah) and Mother Joan; her sisters, Patricia MacFarlane (Edward) and Joanne Edgar (David); and her sisters-in-law, Joan Merrill, Susan Stravostrand and Ann Haines.
Even in "retirement" she found joy, meaning and new friendships in joining the COVID recovery effort and then teaching and mentoring.
