With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John O'Connell of Tremblay, New Brunswick, who passed away on December 25, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Granville O'Connell; and his brothers, Earl, Aloysius, Orville and Guy.

He is survived by: his wife Genie (Genevieve Luerssen); his children, Colleen (Jeff Campbell), Sean (Shanna Frenette), Tim (Layna) and Genevieve MacDonald (Robert); his grandchildren, Terryn MacDonald, Samuel Campbell, Venel Campbell, Sean MacDonald, Jack and Eddie O'Connell; his brother-in-law Tom Luerssen; and his siblings, Daniel (Camilla), Brigit Sullivan (Doug) and Mary Ellen Pollack (Barry). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and a nephew.

Donations in memory of John may be made to the Bathurst Volunteer Center or a charity of the donor's choice.
