He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Hallett and Ferne Hallett; and his brother-in-law Eldon "Buddy" Clark. He is survived by: his wife Darlene (Ellis); his children, Gary Hallett (Nancy) of Jacksonville, FL and Glenda Love (Elwin) of Lloydminster, AB; his grandchildren, Melissa MacLean (Bruce) of Lloydminster, AB, Michelle Houle (Bryan) of Kamloops, BC, Ryan Hallett (Amy) of Durham, NC and Christopher Hallett of Ypsilanti, MI; his great grandchildren, Victoria MacLean, Finlay MacLean, Cecilia Houle, Leia Hallett, Nina Hallett and Ada Hallett; and his siblings, Alison Clark of Fredericton, NB and Blaine Hallett (Jean) of Upper Brighton, NB. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
