It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Freddy Charles Smith of Wood Point, New Brunswick, born in Sackville, New Brunswick, who passed away on February 13, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Smith and Violet Smith (Tower); his siblings, Jeff Smith, Rachael Johnson and Marion Daye; his sisters-in-law, Janice "Jane" Smith, Edna Phinney and Linda Lewis; and his parents-in-law, Lorena and Edgar Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife Donna; his children, Teena Smith (Dale Sherwood), Angela Harvey (Darin 'Narn'), Amanda Smith (John Terris) and Jamie Smith (Renee Landry); his grandchildren, Jerika Ibbitson (Dilan), Calista Ibbitson (Matt), Zach Ibbitson, Jocelyn Smith, Nicholas Smith, John Michael Terris (Christie), Dakota Smith (Emily), Mackenzie Fisher (Evan) and Abigale Fisher; his siblings, Junior, Billy, Stevie, Carolyn Patterson (Dale), Betty Ward, Elaine Morice, Gladys, Donnie Cormier, Myrtle Bryden, Ruby Beal (Don) and Charlotte LeBlanc (Gary); his siblings-in-law, Aubrey Lewis (Charlotte), Diane Milner (Hanford), Debbie Lewis (Robert), Cathy Estabrooks (Mackey), Olive Lewis, Flora Watson (Jim), Charlene Wells (Kevin), Loretta Weir (Donnie) and Nancy Landry (Kevin Scott); his daughters, Lisa and Natasha Taylor; and his close friends, Diana, Luc Touchette and Jasmin Touchette. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family members and close friends.
