We are sad to announce that on January 29, 2022, at the age of 70, Garnet Deverne Chase (Woodstock, New Brunswick) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Winslow Chase and Ramona Chase (Price). He is survived by : his siblings, Gary Chase (Lisa) of East Newbridge, NB, Rickey Chase of Hartland, NB and Valerie Palmer (Dean) of Lower Woodstock, NB.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncle.

The family has designated the River Valley Cancer Support Group (P.0. Box 854, Hartland, NB E7P 3K4) for memorial contributions.

Ellen Lawson wrote a sympathy message

“My sympathy to all his family! I remember a day when I was driving through the long swamp and I see Deverne walking. A bear ran across the road in of my car, between Deverne and I. I stopped and told him what I saw and he was not the least bit concerned about a bear. He said that he has seen them before!”
