He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Knox and Mittie Knox (Jones); his wife Gearldine Knox (Brawn); his sons, Steven and Perry Knox; his former wife Gwen Knox (Haines); and his siblings, Marion Clark, Clara Rae, Frederick and Albert Knox.

He is survived by: his sons, Stuart (Connie) and Charles Knox (Myrna); his grandchildren, Tommy (Debbie), Paul Knox (Ashley), Amy Gotell (Carter) and Clair Knox (Heidi); and his great grandchildren, Perry, Zoe Gotell, Isabella, Vivian, Steven and Kaylan Knox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
