He was predeceased by: his parents, George Acott and Dorothy Acott (Cosman); his brother David; and his niece Anne. He is survived by: his wife Astrid Marjorie McKenzie Acott (Peart); his children, Gordon (Karen), Philip (Wendy), Nancy (Brian) and Sheldon (Julie); his grandchildren, Tommy (Andrea), Jennifer (Kevin), Leigha (Joel), Bradley, Julia, Mitchell, Mikayla, Shayne (Jamie) and Dakota (Courtney); his great grandchildren, Samantha, Casey, Kaitlyn, Connor, Madison, Jayden, Nora and Emilia; and his siblings, Betty Dickinson (Grant), Marguerite Vanderwalk (John), Roy Acott (Bernice), Charles Acott (Gail) and Norman Acott (Cathy).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Scott Funeral Home (815 Main St, Woodstock, NB E7M2E9). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home Chapel (815 Main St, Woodstock, NB E7M2E9).
