It is with sadness that the passing of Beatrice Katie Saunders (Baie Verte, Newfoundland) is shared. Beatrice, born on June 4, 1934, passed away on October 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cambria Packwood and Bertha Packwood; her siblings, John, Gordon, Lizzie Decker (Sam) and Irene; and her parents-in-law, Garland and Alice Saunders.
She is survived by: her husband Gordon Saunders; her children, Thelma Martin (Aloysius), Carl Saunders (Lorna) and Perry Saunders (Gillian); and her sibling Lindsay Packwood (Madonna). She is also survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Captain April Ward.
