She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Foss and Maisie Foss; her daughter Jennifer; her siblings, Melvina Burton (Alex Young) and Robert Foss; and her siblings-in-law, Gloria Jacobs, Tom Jacobs (Ada), Ron Jacobs, Eva Greene (Harry), Robert Jacobs and Gary Norman.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph Jacobs; her children, Brian Jacobs (Dennis Amaral) and Connie Downey (Harold); her grandchildren, Emma-Jean Downey (Mikaila Simmons) and Thomas Downey; her siblings, Velma Foote (Ted), Jean Foss, Carl Foss (Donna) and Deborah Foss; and her siblings-in-law, Jenny Norman, Edgar Jacobs (Bernadette), Maxine Boehler (Klaus), Joan Whibley (Jamie), Neville Jacobs and Elaine Jacobs. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (22 Main St, Baie Verte, NL A0K1B0). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bethany United Church (22 NL-410, Baie Verte, NL A0K1B0).
