He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Lacey and Garland Lacey; his grandparents, Rebecca and Herbert Hamlyn; his parents-in-law, Susan and Edward Furey; and his brother-in-law Patrick Furey.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Furey; his children, Brett Lacey and Nakita Lacey (Ian); his granddaughter Melody-Ann Lacey; his siblings, Judy Critch (Sandy), Barry Lacey (Sandra), Florence Whalen (Tom) and Fiona Dove (Danny); and his sister-in-law Pauline Hartigan.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (22 Main St, Baie Verte, NL A0K1B0). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at the Salvation Army Cemetery.
