Ruth Olive Shiner Obituary

In loving memory of Ruth Olive Shiner (Baie Verte, Newfoundland), who departed this world on January 31, 2026 at the age of 67. Ruth leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Martin and Melinda Martin; her grandchildren, Kathleen and Kaleigh Madure; her sister Edith Chipp; her parents-in-law, Sadie Shiner and Geddis Shiner; and her sisters-in-law, Cassie Curry and Audrey Shiner.

She is survived by: her husband Wayne; her daughters, Kara England (Travis) and Karla Shiner (Perry Savoury); her grandchildren, Cameron Savoury, Carmen Savoury and Kaicei England; her siblings, Eileen Moyles (Orville), Paulene Noble, Dorman Martin (Sherry), Manuel Martin (Lorraine), Janice Robinson (Randy), Howard Martin (Noella), Leander Martin (Maureen), Nada Martin (Reginald), George Martin (Kim Grayer), Herbie Martin (Joanne) and Romayne Mitchell (Robert); and her siblings-in-law, Victor Shiner (Sonya), Cherry Newbury (Gary), Kevin Shiner (Barbara), Michelle Shiner, Beverly Burton (Mikita), Meryl Shiner (Becky) and Loretta Burton (Roy). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bayview Pentecostal Church. A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
