He was predeceased by: his father Herman Parsons Sr.; his brother Arthur Parsons (Sis); his nephew Phillip Parsons; and his siblings-in-law, Matthew Brumsey, Albert Skinner and Joyce Parsons (Gaultois).
He is survived by: his mother Stella Parsons (Dell); his children, Holly Butler, Rebecca Parsons (William), Mona and Jamie Butler; his siblings, Cyril Parsons (Patsy), Robert Parsons, Derek Parsons (Judy), Tony Parsons (Michelle), Stephen Parsons (Amanda), Herman Parsons Jr., Karen Brumsey and Judy Luscombe (Dereck); and his uncle Vince Parsons (Judy). He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fillatre's Funeral Home (37 West St, Stephenville Crossing, NL A0N2C0). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Assumption Parish (24 Hospital Rd, Cape Saint George, NL A0N2C0). A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM at the Roman Catholic Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Bay St. George Sick Children's Foundation.
