Jean Lawrence Obituary

With solemn reverence, we commemorate Jean Lawrence of Bay l'Argent, Newfoundland, whose life came to an end on February 28, 2026 at the age of 88, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Gus Lawrence; her parents, Clyde Banfield and Clara Banfield; her siblings, Don Banfield, Fred Banfield (Dorothy), Alva Banfield and Blanche Hawes (Donald); her sister-in-law Lillian Banfield; her parents-in-law, Garfield and Alfreda Lawrence; and her brother-in-law Garfield Lawrence.

She is survived by: her children, Garfield Lawrence (Heather) of St. Phillips and Beverley Barrett (Craig) of Enfield, NS; her grandsons, Robert Barrett (Elizabeth), Jonathan Lawrence (Erica), Joshua Lawrence (Brittany) and Richard Barrett; her great grandchildren, Madison, Sawyer and Micah; her brothers, Henry Banfield of Bay L'Argent, Lloyd Banfield (Shirley) and Frank Banfield (Esther) of Marystown; and her sister-in-law Georgina Banfield of St. John's.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the St. Hilda's Anglican Church. A funeral service was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Friday, March 6th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the St. Hilda's Anglican Cemetery.

In Jean's memory in-lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Hilda's Anglican Church, Bay L'Argent.
