It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bruce Stanley Caravan of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, who passed away on September 7, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Fanny; and his siblings, Earle (Lorraine), Art (Anita), Roy, Bert (Clarice), Lois (Chesley), Velma, Les (Phyllis), Isaac (Corneila) and David (Sadie).
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his sons, Derrick and Jeffrey (Melissa); his grandchildren, Buzz (Sarah), Alexander and Neil; and his siblings-in-law, Louise, Harry (Greta), George (Phyllis), Ches (Geraldine), Ralph (Ruby), Florence (Al) and Katie (Clarence).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Slade's Funeral Home (45 L. T. Stick Dr, Bay Roberts, NL A0A). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Grace United Church.
In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in his loving memory to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB).
