He was predeceased by: his wife Veronica; his sons, Kenneth and Keith Smith; his parents, Israel Smith and Hilda Smith (Jones); and his siblings, Israel (Hazel), Rosalyn (Gordon), Abraham and Hazel (Ron).
He is survived by: his daughters, Michelle (Gord) and Elaine (Robert); his grandchildren, Kayla (Ron), Kenneth (Gabby), Natasha (Jordan), Courtney (Jerome), Sommer and Dawson; his great grandchildren, Tanayah, Chloe, William, Ronald, Dante, Raeanna, Daxton, Hazelle, Compton, Mylah, Irelynn, Wesley Hubert and Caliyah; his sisters, Maxine (Dennis) and Evelyn (Esau); his sister-in-law Eileen; his close friends, Max, Nellie Barrett, Helen and Howard Smith; his brother-in-law Leo; and his parents-in-law, Edward and Rita Dixon (Ford).
A funeral service was held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Slade's Funeral Home (45 L. T. Stick Dr, Bay Roberts, NL A0A).
In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in his loving memory to the Mr. Hubert John Smith Memorial Fund.
