He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Lou; his son Paul; his parents, Charles and Florence; and his parents-in-law, George and Marion Spooner.
He is survived by: his daughter Lori (Curtis Butt); his grandson Brandon Galway; and his siblings, Eric (late Linda), Lyndon Mercer (Bev) and Lorna Boone (Ray).
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moore's Funeral Home (82 Water St, Bay Roberts, NL A0A1G0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Matthew's Anglican Church (273 Water St, Bay Roberts, NL A0A0H2).
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Melvin Stevens Memorial Fund, c/o Noel's Funeral Home.
