It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Andrew Simms of Birchy Bay, Newfoundland, born in Twillingate, Newfoundland, who passed away on March 7, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Simms and Netta Simms; his wife Verna; and his siblings, Roland and Jean Simms.

He is survived by : his children, Wayne, Wanda Purrier (Mohammed) and Claudette Freake (Ivan); his grandchildren, Alex Freake (Marlee), Faith Freake (Mark Pelley), Paige and Emma Simms; his great grandchildren, Reegan, Jaelyn, Lexi, Ariana and Caleb; his brothers, Wayne (Lorraine) and Gordon (Sandra); and his sister-in-law Ella Simms. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
