We are sad to announce that on May 6, 2021, at the age of 91, Cecil Bramwell Canning of Birchy Bay, Newfoundland passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cecil Bramwell Canning to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his wife Ruth; his siblings, Hedley, Ella Blanche (Roy Porter) and Lucy Russell; his brothers-in-law, Peter Quinlan and Calvin Freake; and his son-in-law Lloyd Hodder.

He is survived by : his children, Linda (Leslie Freake), Marie (Bronce Bath), Brenda Hodder, Beverly (Larry Pope), Verley (Carl Mews), Marcella (Oscar Lewis), Lona (Clifford Barrett), Bramwell (Shelia) and Brooklyn (Edwinna); his siblings, Carrie Freake, Rachel (Sidney Brace), Dulcie (Layton Godfrey), Clarence (Shelia) and Eileen Quinlan; and his siblings-in-law, Louise Freake and Lester Russell. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great- grandchildren.

The public visitation will take place from Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, 262 Main Street, Lewisporte on Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 2-4 PM following COVID government regulations.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, Birchy Bay, NL.
