We are sad to announce that on October 14, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Emma Cavell (Janes) Sheppard of Birchy Head, Newfoundland. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William Sheppard; her daughter Elsie Lorraine; her children-in-law, Grace Sheppard (Crocker) and Terry Gavin; her parents, Arthur Janes and Eva Janes (Harnett); her parents-in-law, Freeman and Dorcas Sheppard; her siblings, Bill, Harold, Adolphus, Roy, Effie, Flora, Lurley, Shirley, Barbara Jean and Nellie; and her nephews, Paul and Sean Goudie.
She is survived by: her children, Bill (Bess), Monty Crossfield AB (Gail), Jim (Heather), Brian (Sandra) and Tina Sheppard; her grandchildren, Steven, Jason (Alysha), Jeffrey (Mitchell), Matthew (Stephanie), Andrew (April), Samantha (Jeffrey), Tyler (Melony), Stephanie (Zachary), Terri-Jo (Derek), Nicholas and Billy; and her sisters, Mary Reid (Harry) of Deer Lake, NL and Glenda Tilley (Terry) of Deer Lake, NL.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Anglican Church. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to the Western Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Emma's memory .
