With sadness, we share the passing of Florence M. Burge (Bishops Falls, Newfoundland). Florence, born on December 22, 1937, passed away on September 28, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wylie; her siblings, Shirley Hanlon, Marion Wilson, David O'Brien and Jim O'Brien; and her sons-in-law, Owen Ball and Lee Hawco.
She is survived by: her children, Shawn Burge (Carol), Edna Burge, Joanne Ball (Harry) and Wanda Burge (John); her grandchildren, Melissa, Kristin (Mark), Sarah, Jennifer (Ryan), Brooke and Catherine (Doug); her great grandchildren, Ethan, Wylie and Callie; her grandsons, Owen Ball and Matthew Hawco; her nephew Eddy Wilson; her grandson-in-law Mark Temple; and her nephew Dan Sutherland. She is also survived by mother and grandmother to her four children, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hoskins Funeral Home (527 Main St, Bishop's Falls, NL A0H1C0). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Pentecostal Church (1 Cannings Ln, Bishop's Falls, NL A0H1C0).
