Cecil Ford Thompson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cecil Ford Thompson of Botwood, Newfoundland, who passed away on March 9, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Thompson and Fannie Thompson; his siblings, Stanley, Shirley, Isabel and Berlene; and his siblings-in-law, Faye, Edgar, Bill and Albert.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Glenda (Rene Boutcher), Linda, Joanne (Glenn Curtis) and Eric (Geminy Hansin); his siblings, William (Ruth), Wayne (Jocelyn), Jean and Patsy (Ralph Paul); and his brother-in-law Ford Hancock. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Botwood Funeral Home (147 Commonwealth Dr, Botwood, NL A0H1E0). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the The Salvation Army Citadel (15A Circular Rd, Botwood, NL A0H1E0).
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
