With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Larene Rideout of Botwood, Newfoundland, who passed away on October 31, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Winston Rideout; her parents, Garland Compton and Netta Compton; and her siblings, Joyce Canning and Wallace Compton.
She is survived by: her sons, Barry (Karen), Dale (Paula) and Todd; her siblings, Judy Scott (Howard), Ruby Sheppard (Lloyd) and Ewen Compton; and her grandchildren, Stefan Rideout (Ashley Park) and Alecia Rideout (Tim Buchanan).
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home (262 Main St, Lewisporte, NL A0G3A0). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Philadelphia Pentecostal Tabernacle (362 Main St, Lewisporte, NL A0G3A0).
