She was predeceased by: her parents, Olive Brace and Maxwell Brace of Bishop's Falls; and her siblings, Vera Petracco, Phyllis Maidment, Bonnie Anderson, Helen Marsh, Jean Brown, Harvey Brace, Harry Brace and Clifford Brace.
She is survived by: her husband Dale Buckley; her children, Yvette Buckley (Ron), Chad Buckley (Thea) and Gary Buckley (Krista); her siblings, Shirley Stagg (Jack), Sidney Brace (Ingrid) and Violet Morin; her grandchildren, Sabrina, Aidan, Megan, Nathan and Jenna; and her great grandchildren, Parker, Jayde and Lily.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hoskins Funeral Home (271 Water St, Botwood, NL A0H1E0). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Verna's memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
