He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Bert Haas Sr. and Ann Haas; his parents-in-law, Patrick Joseph Haas and Mary Haas; his siblings, Eugene Haas, Shirley Matthews (Walter), Coretta Haas, Mary Ann Haas, Joan Haas, Laura Sullivan (Gord), Marie Matthews (Len), Wayne Haas (Ruby) and Roy Haas (Jackie); his nephew Colin Matthews; his brothers-in-law, Leroy Haas, Jason Haas, Daniel Haas and Dominic Matthews; his wife Joanne Haas of Brent's Cove, NL; his children, Brandon Haas (Jenna) of Fort McMurray, AB and Brandi Payne (Jonathan) of Fort McMurray, AB; his grandchildren, Kolbe, Spencer, Sophie Haas, Lexie and Preston Payne; and his close friends, Kevin Domalain, Gerard Skinner and Junior Payne. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Visitation will take place at St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Brent's Cove, NL on Thursday, February 11th, 2021 from 1:00-3:00PM and 4:00-7:00PM, continuing on Friday, February 12th, 2021 from 1:00-3:00PM and 4:00-7:00PM, following specific regulations pertaining to the global pandemic and associated restrictions.

As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Bert's memory to St. John the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Brent's Cove, NL.
