He was predeceased by: his wife Effie (Percy); his son Kirk French; and his siblings, Myrtle Percy, Mabel Rochelle (Besse), Mary Jerrett and Augustus French (Gus).
He is survived by: his children, Rodger French (Joan), Darlene French (Iggy) and Kimberly French (Peter Brinson); his sister Hazel Godden of New York; his brother-in-law Charles (John); and his grandchildren, Zackery (Erin), Joshua, Mackenzie, Alex, Amber (Matt) and Natalie (Chad). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and cherished friends—each touched by his storytelling spirit.
Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice—or honor him by walking through Brigus as he often did: greeting neighbors, sharing a story, and chatting with everyone he encountered.
