With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michelle Courtney Gushue of Brigus, Newfoundland, who passed away on January 17, 2026 at the age of 62. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Gushue and Shirley Gushue; her sister Denise; and her nephew Cordell Boland. She is survived by: her children, Daniel Morgan (Kim) and Courtney Morgan (Mason); the father of her children Vince; her stepchildren, Matthew Mercer (Madison), Mikayla Mercer (Blair) and Madison Mercer (Marcus); her grandchildren, Nevaeh Simms, Pyper Batten and Rylan Mesh; her sisters, Maxine Hedderson (John) and Sharon Hurley (William); her mother-in-law Monica Mercer; her siblings-in-law, Blair Mercer (Nancy), Rodney Mercer (Pauline), Gerald Mercer (Darlene), Dennis Mercer (Linda), Ellen Piercey (Derrick) and Selina Fry (Keith); and her nieces and nephews, Sonya (Dereck), Melissa (Spencer), Boyd, Wanda, Jonathan, Katie (Jarrod), Susanna (Aaren), Neil, Curran, Faith, Logan (Emily), Keagan, Luke, Keanna, Karlee and Jack. She is also survived by relatives and special friends.
