He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Myrtle Rideout; his parents, Phineas and Jessie; his siblings, Jean Moores (Frank), Myra Parsons (Edwin), Bruce and Aubrey (Betty); his niece Amanda Payne (Brian); and his nephew Andy Rideout.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kayley (Ian Mills) and Cameron; his siblings, Ivy (Charlie Samms), Norma (Melvin Jennings), Judy Rideout, Norman (Jean) and Paul (Barbara); his family, Dr. Ramjohn (Brigus Medical Centre), Dr. Rorke and Dr. Larsen; and his son Christopher Scott (Christine). He is also survived by cats, who were his faithful companions.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Broughtons Funeral Home (17 Station Rd, Brigus, NL A0A 1K0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Broughtons Memorial Chapel (17 Station Rd, Brigus, NL A0A 1K0).
