She is survived by : her daughter-in-law Elva Thomas; her grandchildren, Tammy, Lisa (Andy), Phillip (Diana), Juanita (Wayne), Rob (Chia), Tracey (Jim), Corina (Chris), Matthew (Sarah) and Shane (Rebecca); and her close friend Cyril Walsh.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Shirley's memory to Brownsdale United Church, Brownsdale.
