Christopher Thomas Laing Obituary
Christopher Thomas Laing, age 70, previously of Windsor, Ontario, passed away suddenly with his wife by his side on March 20, 2024, at his new home in Central Newfoundland. He was born on June 21, 1953.
Chris was a man of integrity, commitment, loyalty, and love. In the past 2 years, he embraced a long-standing desire to live off the grid, finding solace in the wilderness and the beauty of the outdoors. He worked tirelessly to create a small paradise where he hoped to enjoy his family's company soon. Chris' spiritual journey led him to a deeper understanding of the eternal spirit and the love of the Creator. He happily accepted the greeting of Yeshua to take him home.
He is survived by his wife of 2 years Connie (Thomson), daughter Ashley Sarros (Christopher) and grandson William, son Adrian Laing (Amanda) and granddaughter Tatyanna, his first wife Monika MacNeil (Peter), as well as siblings Michael, David and Kim, MaryAnne and Brian, Peter and Sue, Rita and Paul. Chris' parents John and Bernadette Laing and brother John Laing preceded him.
Apart from his dedication to his family and spirituality, Chris had a variety of hobbies including being a woodsman, mechanic, builder and gardener. His deep desire for truth kept him diligently researching to stay ahead of the curve. He appreciated his 1986 Dodge D150 and was humbly proud of the restoration. He enjoyed the silence, the stars, the terrain, the woods, and the wildlife that surrounded him. He rose and conquered every new challenge with gratitude and personal satisfaction. His light was bright and the earth is not the same without his presence.
There will be no service at this time. May his love for nature and his persevering spirit live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
He is not gone. He is pure spirit. He always has been, and he always will be. We are all One.
