He was predeceased by : his parents, Theophilus Burt and Pearl Burt; his daughter Charmaine; and his parents-in-law, Gilbert Nurse and Hilda Nurse.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley; his daughter Sherry (Shawn); his grandson Kent (Taylor); his siblings, Sadie (Daniel) and Robert (Marcella); and also, Alvina (Tom), Dolly and Snookies.
