He was predeceased by: his parents, Randell MacDonald and Mary MacDonald; his brothers, Frank and William; his nephew Christopher Skinner; and his parents-in-law, Simon Spencer and Josephine Spencer.

He is survived by: his wife Doris; his children, Paul (Beth), Robert (Lindsay), Stacy and Scott (Theresa); his siblings, Melita (Cyril) and Ronald (Freda); and his grandchildren, Brittany, Justin, Will, Keira, Lily, Wyatt, Spencer, Brooke, Emily and Jacob.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM. A burial was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Burgeo Community Cemetery.
