Gilbert Melbourne Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gilbert Melbourne of Burgeo, Newfoundland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 8, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan; his sons, Ian (Sandra) and Adam (Victoria); his grandchildren, Noah, Sarah and Nathan; his brothers, Bill, Gus (Judy) and Dan (Joyce); his siblings-in-law, Selina, Gloria, Sheila, Dora (Julius), Angela (Dan), Glenn (Melita) and Calvin (Angela); his son Andrew; his parents, Sarah Melbourne and Gilbert Melbourne; his parents-in-law, George K and Jessie Skinner; his brother George; his siblings-in-law, Don, Gord, Junior and Wanda; and his nephew Robbie. He was also cherished by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Burgeo United Church (4 Clements Rd, Burgeo, NL A0N0B3). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
