It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Juanita Thorne (Burgeo, Newfoundland), who passed away on November 25, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her former husband Franks Marks; her husband Benjamin Thorne; her parents, A. James Durnford and Susanna Durnford; and her sisters, Pearl, Shirley and Maggie.
She is survived by: her children, Joy Blagdon (Keith), Blaine Marks (Margie), Kevin Thorne (Megan) and Karen Laldin (Edmund); her grandchildren, Rick, Amy, Angie, Kylee, Jennifer Meagan and Kavanna; her brother Newman Durnford; and her siblings-in-law, Carrie Stevens, Henry Marks and Ivan James.
No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Calder Health Centre or St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
