With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lucy Farrell (Burgeo, Newfoundland), born in Grand Bruit, Newfoundland, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 8, 2026 at the age of 103. She was predeceased by: her husband William; her parents, Joseph Billard and Hannah Billard; and her siblings, Jack Billard (Marjorie), Reginald Billard (Dorothy), Walter Billard (Mary), Robert Billard (Clara), Angus Billard (Winnie), Cyril Billard, Edith Burt (Charles), Mildred Farrell (Arthur), Ida Billard (Wilfred) and Jean Farrell (Jack).
She is survived by: her daughter Thelma Coade; her grandchildren, Marilyn Coade, Timothy Coade (Tanya) and William Coade; her great grandchildren, Mackenzie Coade, Irelyn Coade, Kaitlyn Coade, Lindsey Neufeld and James Coade; and her sister Ruth Billard. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 10th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Faith United Church (4 Clements Rd, Burgeo, NL A0N2H0). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM.
