We announce the death of Rupert William Hare (Burgeo, Newfoundland), who passed away on August 13, 2026, at the age of 93. Rupert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marge; his parents, Alma and Victor Sr.; his siblings, Debbie and Norman; and his siblings-in-law, Anne, Harriet, May, Thelma, Arthur and Hubert.
He is survived by: his children, Bernice (Bruce), Debbie (Brad) and Darrell; his grandchildren, Sasha and Erik (Abby); his great grandchild Ruth; his brother Victor Jr.; and his brother-in-law Claude (Joyce). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Faith United Church (Burgeo) or Daffodil Place (St. John's) would be greatly appreciated.
